Hartford Connecticut is looking for a locums Ortho APP to Provide Coverage
Orthopedic Surgery Physician Assistant
10-18-24 – 02-28-25 (Full time)
Licenses/Certifications/Requirements: Board Certified NCCPA, CT license, DEA/CSR, BLS, ACLS
2+ years of ortho experience
First Assist experience in the OR.
Schedule: 4/10hr shifts per week (630a-5p) w 30min lunch break
Inpatient EMR: EPIC
Scope of Work: 5-15 patients per shift
Evaluates, assesses patient illness/injuries • Performs physical examinations, and special examinations • Takes medical histories; develops plans of care; intervenes in crisis situations or patient deterioration • Provides routine and illness care; orders medications; orders diagnostic tests and evaluates results • Assumes responsibility for patient follow-up, coordination, and referrals to other health care providers as necessary • Maintains patient health information records • Assist with surgeries as first assist • Performs related duties as required.
Rate: 120/hour
